If you’re heading to the eastern part of the Czech Republic, close to the Slovak and Polish borders, the Beskydy Mountains offer exactly what many people are looking for — forest, space, and quieter trails without heavy crowds.
Prašivá is one of those places. Not extreme, not dramatic — but honest. A route where you can just walk, breathe, and slow things down a bit.
This loop starts in the village of Komorní Lhotka and is about 9.6 km long. It’s an easy and enjoyable route, perfect for a relaxed day outside without rushing or chasing performance.
Start and finish are at the parking lot in Komorní Lhotka (near the sauna), but keep in mind it fills up quickly, so heading out early in the morning is a good idea.
From there, follow the yellow trail up to Malá Prašivá. This is where the first real moment comes — the view opens up and the Beskydy spread out in front of you. On a clear day, you’ll clearly see Lysá hora, the highest peak in the area. There’s also the well-known Chata Prašivá, a good place to stop for a drink or something warm.
Right next to it stands the wooden Church of St. Anthony of Padua, a small but very distinctive landmark that gives the place a unique atmosphere. It’s one of those spots where people naturally slow down for a while.
From Malá Prašivá, continue along the red trail to the main summit. The path is easy to follow and leads through quieter sections where it’s mostly just you, the forest, and open views.

One small detail worth knowing — on the way up (between Komorní Lhotka and Malá Prašivá), you’ll come across a natural spring. A perfect place to refill water and let your wolf cool down a bit 🐺
