How to create content that sells the best

Updated: 11.12.2025
Content that sells well has three key qualities: it’s useful, specific and clearly presented. It’s not just about the format — it’s about whether the viewer immediately understands the value they will receive from you.

1. Create content that solves a problem
The best-selling content is the kind that:
  • - showcases your talent and passion
  • - saves time or money
  • - helps solve a problem
  • - teaches a new skill

Examples of effective content:
  • Behind-the-scenes creation – People love the process: preparing the scene, camera setup, storyboards, sketches, working files.
  • Step-by-step guides – How to edit a video, retouch a photo, or build a simple web page.
  • Mini-courses – Short video or article series that teach a specific skill (e.g., marketing, drawing basics, software tutorials).
  • Value-based storytelling – Lessons learned, mistakes avoided, and practical takeaways for the audience.
  • Galleries or downloadable materials – Photo sets, graphics, textures, audio tracks or assets users can use in their projects.
  • Money-saving content – How to choose equipment, what not to overpay for, what you can create yourself.
  • Time-saving content – Shortcuts, tips, simplified workflows.

2. Be specific — not general
“How to start with photography” doesn’t sell.
“How to shoot portraits in natural light – complete guide” does.

Specificity = higher conversions.

3. Structure matters more than length
Content doesn’t need to be long, but it must be:
  • - clearly organized
  • - logically divided
  • - supported with examples or demonstrations

Quick orientation increases the perceived value.

4. A strong thumbnail makes a huge difference
People often buy with their eyes.

Use a thumbnail that:
  • - is visually striking
  • - matches the topic
  • - instantly communicates what the content is about

A good thumbnail can increase sales significantly.

5. Add bonus value
Extra value sells.

Examples:
  • - downloadable PDF
  • - bonus videos
  • - bonus photo set
  • - access to supporting materials
  • - behind-the-scenes content
  • - early access to new posts

Bonuses create the feeling that the content has high value.

6. Write titles that communicate the BENEFIT
The title should answer:

“What exactly will I get?”

Good examples:
  • “Exclusive video available only for members”
  • “Podcast episode one week earlier”
  • “Create your first paid post in 30 minutes”
  • “20 photos you can use in your own projects”
  • “Course: How to film professional video on your phone”
